Empowering Lives Beyond Disability
We believe that we can save more lifes
Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. designed several programs to address persistent inequities in health determinants, well-being, care, and opportunities. The integration of cultural values and activities, aligned with our strength-based and client-centered milieu, are designed to promote inclusion, increase well-being, and establish strategies that create opportunities for independence. The delivery of services through our skilled team and our extended Clinical Team utilizes a balance of structure, consistency, and stability to provide the benchmark of excellence in individualized service delivery.
These combined models allow us to tailor our approaches to the specific needs of the individual and, in alignment with the stakeholders’ corporates, a team-based approach involving all persons (individuals, families, communities, and agencies) as appropriate, with a focus on providing opportunities for success and positive outcomes.

Foundations to Service Delivery
Client-Centered Approaches
Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. believes in the importance of skilled and client focused service delivery to stabilize complex referring issues; enhance the self-worth and dignity of everyone; and, promote integration in the community and with family through use of trauma-informed and client-centered holistic values. Our guiding principle is to involve an individualized approach of joining family values, concrete service delivery modalities with unconditional acceptance and guidance in a community integrated setting.
Cultural Integration
Our philosophical base includes the following as derived from the teachings of Elders in that all members of the community are a gift from the Creator. Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. is committed to providing integrated and culturally sensitive services based on the Holistic, Medicine Wheel”. The initiative would aim to provide an integrated experience that focuses on the well- being of everyone to address their mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual health. These experiences assist in balancing the Medicine Wheel through an atmosphere based on caring, respect, compassion, sharing; and acknowledge their individual uniqueness and cultural heritage. All of these are significantly conducive to the health, self-esteem, safety, and well-being in the personal growth and development of all individuals engaged in the program.
Facilitated Experiences
All individuals which Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. has worked with have experienced trauma and experiences of loss and grief (eg. separation from family, isolation, and marginalization in their communities, etc.). In addition, many of the individuals we have served are impacted by cognitive limitations because of many different variables including organic brain disorders, mental health issues, addictions, etc. In short, individuals with varying degrees of disabilities view the world very differently because of their experiences and behaviorally express their human needs in complex and often conflicted ways.
Connections
Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. believes that all individuals are available and can develop significant connections with other people, their families, and their community. Research has demonstrated the positive impact of responsive care provision on individuals who have experienced trauma and isolation. As a foundation for our services, Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. supports all individuals in the development of relationships and connections with professionals, the family, and the extended community.
Innovation
Persons living with developmental disabilities, mental or physical health concerns, and/or addictions consistently experience barriers in accessing the community and subsequently enjoying or participating in activities that improve quality of life. Within our current client population, Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. recognizes these challenges and has become a strong advocates on behalf of the individuals we serve to have their inclusion needs met. All individuals need a sense of belonging – to family and their community – and innovation and creativity remain the key to ensuring the barriers are removed. Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. has gone to great lengths to ensure or secure meaningful involvement of our clients in activities that are of cultural interest and those that strengthen the sense of connection. While existing resources and collaborations within the community meet most of the needs of our clients, those with more complex needs (eg. mobility, sensory or processing, behavioral, etc.) have required Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. to be creative with resources to have clients engaged.
Feedback Informed Services
The Alliance for an Inclusive and Accessible Canada has endeavored research and consultation to provide feedback and recommendations regarding all aspects of barriers faced. The reports generated have consistently resulted in feedback around the multitude of shifts required in various domains in the daily living experience of persons isolated from their communities, those who have physical, mental, or emotional trauma that results in disabilities, etc. Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. consistently solicits feedback through Satisfaction Surveys from clients, their family members, and stakeholders. These surveys further inform our outcomes by allowing our organization to adjust service delivery in areas that have generated corrective feedback.
Organizations need to include individuals in their service delivery and allow clients to be the “drivers” of their outcomes. Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. relies on the desires and opinions of our clients and their families when designing Individual Service Plans. In doing so, the Individual Service Plans result in goals aligned with the funder’s framework along with tasks and strategies designed specific to the individual’s uniqueness.
Trauma-Informed Practice
The foundation of trauma-informed practice, requires continual attention and navigation between the physical and interpersonal environment. Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc.’s employees are well-versed in contextualizing “bad behavior” as an unmet human need and/or as a trigger to prior trauma. The primary focus of employees is to create safety in interpersonal relationships and the environment. Trauma responses often fall into the “flight, fight or freeze” reactions (Healing Families, Helping Systems: A Trauma Informed Practice Guide for Working with Children, Youth, and Families, January 2017, British Columbia: Ministry of Children and Family Development, pg. 6) of individuals and employees are trained to collaborate with the client and their family to support emotional regulation – this, as opposed to behavior modification approaches, has shown strong and demonstrable outcomes for our clients.
Quality Assurance Processes
Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. has made an application for accreditation and is committed to ensuring that the organization is fully accredited within one (1) year of placement of the first client. The Quality Assurance Process is outlined in our policies and in our Organizational Plans which are both reviewed on an annual basis and the resulting corrective action planning is monitored monthly. Blossomingone Supportive Services Inc. will commit to strengthening our Quality Assurance Processes by utilizing the custom-designed Outcomes Data Base which has the capabilities to assess goal attainment, impact on the severity of needs and issues, incident reporting, etc. Furthermore, the database can be set up to gather information related to the factors and domains as outlined in the Quality-of-Life Framework. We also can set security accesses so guardians/caseworkers can have “real-time” access to ongoing information (via private login) regarding the client with dedicated reports that outline goal achievement, number, and type of incident reports, medical-based appointments, attendance at activities, etc.
